So, here we are once again. In a couple of weeks, it will be new year again. Since I haven't been updating this blog much frequent as it should, I might as well just write a summary about my 2011.
So, what happens? Let's start from the beginning.
The opening year of 2011 was quite busy because it's Chines New Year season. Right about January I've been informed that I will be transfered to MIS dept as System Support. Well, The goes my resume again. At that time it was only a rumour and there's nothing to backup those claims. After CNY, I got a call from MIS for an interview. There were two of us actually. Weeks after that, nothing. By the end of February (or was it early March? I can't remember for sure), I've been informed that I will be stationed in Lahad Datu to help with the new outlet opening there. I was there for 2 and a half months. That was the first time I flew within Sabah (with MASWings). Before coming back to KK, I was promoted to System Support (by phone) starting April. At 9th of May 2011, I'm back at KK. The day after, I come to MIS dept to report in first time (in office) as a System Support.
The first few weeks I was familiarizing myself to the new environment. I was quiet and all (that's how I am when I'm in a new place =P). I figure out that some of my colleague there was making fun of me but I was ignoring it so I don't really care. Working here is not the same as working at outlet. It's a whole different scope of job. That's why I'm saying "there goes my resume". It's like I just start working. I was building my experience while I was still an IT clerk but now it's a whole different thing.
June, July, August, September and October was just normal. Nothing too fancy. November and December is where I have a life changing experience. The opening week of November seeing me and my family coming to Tawau to meet with my girl's family and setting up an arrangement for marriage and such. I was excited until my car overheat and broke down 30km from Lahad Datu. It was a heartbreaking moment if you ask me. The painful part is that I've spent a lot of money to fix it. Actually fixing it only cost about RM1000++. It's pretty much already isn't it? How about this, towing that car 30KM to Lahad Datu cost me RM300. The mechanic said that fixing it gonna take a while since there's no part available there and suggest that I transport the car to KK.. Well, my father insist that I do it so I did. It cost me RM500. All in all, it cost me about RM2000!! :( .. Well, I don't know what else I should do. I get married in December but left with no money to spend.. no honeymoon.. My poor wife.
Never mind, now that my car is working fine and all, I can start managing my money again and hopefully I can go on a honeymoon with my lovely wife anytime soon ;).
So, that's pretty much, roughly what happened to me in 2011. I have a lot more to share but it's time consuming to remember it all and portraying those memories into words.
